I set this up a couple of weeks ago at a TICA show in Edison, NJ.
I spoke to lots of breeders and pet owners, passed out literature and gave lots of hugs. "FIP Fighters" also sponsored TICA Judge Edith Mary Smith's ring.

The shorter lady in the picture is Susan Gingrich who founded the Bria Fund at the Winn Foundation. She is also the sister of the US politician Newt Gingrich incidently. The taller lady is Kathleen Jack-- a very generous lady dedicated to FIP and HCM research. I love them both and this was the first time I met them!

lol-- I'm the goofy one on the right in the leopard print shirt.

I'm all set to go to another show this weekend to do the same thing. But I'm showing Jade and Sapphire. And I'll have double the vendor space size to fill.

This time I'll have "Tagnets" and magnets. The tagnets are like pins but they attach to your shirt with magnets. They say the same things as the car magnets-- like "I love Bengals" "My cat is smarter than your honor student" etc.

Wish me luck!

I'm sure you'll have a great time Julie. You're doing wonderful work on FIP - thank you.

Thanks Ginny- I'll be really glad when there's no need for it anymore. I hope I don't live my whole life seeing cats die of FIP.

Its so strange sometimes I'll be at the booth and I'll see someone way across the show hall looking back at me and the FIP signs. They will have a look on their faces that tells the whole story. Later in the day that person will come up to the booth and tell me the story of a kitty that died or is dying.

They let it out but try not to cry to much-- exhibitors have to keep control and go on with their show.

At every show I walk to all the exhibitors benches and hand out brochures and introduce myself. People get teary a lot of times and say that they know all too well about FIP and thank me for being there to inform about it.

I just give basic info and show people where to find out more and to get support. The brochure I hand out describes all the major research projects around the world.

Thank you Miki-- Now we just have to get people in other regions to do what I'm doing too.
