Hi all

We attended Evvie's first show yesterday at the North West Cat Club (it was also our first show) and we were really pleased to come home with TWO rosettes. We got 1st in the Debutante class and 3rd in the Open (Female brown spotted kitten). We are absolutely delighted :D

I've posted a pic below, albeit it a poor one.

Excellent - how did she find it, was it a problem being in a cage all day?

No, the only time she got restless was whenever she saw us :( so we ended up spying on her from a few rows away.

The judge said she was wonderful to handle.... at first we thought she must have been referring to another cat (at home Evvie usually gets upset if a stranger picks her up) but then the judge came over and picked her and sure enough Evvie was really good, she even started licking the judges hand  (we where pretty gob smacked)

Anyway, we had a great day! ChrisJay had a few cats there; her female kitten came second in the open!

I think the female may of been Zeus and Hestia's sister. She had two litters, one slightly older and then zeus and hestia's litter.

ChrisJay seems to do well in the shows, she has won lots of rosettes from shows. Her two tom's (one Zeus and Hestia's father) are massive. We think Zeus may get just as big, he is growing each day and feels very muscular.

Did you mention what breeder you got Eevie and Tally from, i can't remember now?

We got Evvie from Llandar in Reading and Tally from Bramblewood in Wolverhampton, They are very different cats. Evvie is very 'slinky' and she has the softest coat/pelt (we call her our southern snob) where as Tally is very chunky (we call her our brummy boxer). :D

ChrisJays bengals originate from Llandar, Glitterglam and the majority of Zeus and Hestia's ancestry is Millwood.

So perhaps Zeus and Hestia are related to Eevie somewhere down the line, ;) who knows. Speaking of which, Eevie does remind me of Hestia. When I see pictures of Eevie, i keep thinking I am looking at pictures of Hestia.

You?re probably right! Now that we have our Prefix "NordiqueStar" we should be putting together a web site which will list both of our cats pedigrees. I'll let you know when it's done and you can take a look (to much for me to write down ATM... especially after 2 glasses of wine :D )

However...I'm guessing that you will have one or more of the following in their bloodline:
Millwood Inner Circle
Millwood French Lace
Millwood Italian Filigree

They seam to pop-up everywhere...randy little sods ;)

There is a picture of Millwood inner circle in Dan Rice?s Bengal Cats book...... So if she does feature in their pedigree, not only are your cats beautiful...but famous too! :D The book also features Heritage Kimo of Almaden (he's in both Evvie's & Tally's pedigree)

WOW -- Congrats to you AND Evvie !!! I know you're proud parents :)

I'll be taking Dagger to his first show, on Oct. 8th -- I hope he does as well.
