also chat with your breeder. they should be proud that you want to show, will advise you what you need to know & hopefully support you along the way. be sure that your kitten is being sold with show potential & not just pet, because with TICA, they could be sold as "not for showing or breeding", in which case you wouldn't be able to show anyway.
yes, it is expensive. shows are usually out of the area & over 2 days, so you need to think about entry fees, travelling expenses & accomodation, also eating while you're there etc.
there's a lot to think about but it is good fun & can become quite addictive
