I think we'll be OK, now that I've let off some steam. Finances are an issue at the moment but we'll get over it barring any more disasters.

The main thing for us now will be to take a little break once the current kittens are gone, at least until things pick up a bit. We've already decided to have one of our girls neutered and we've definitely decided not to compromise on quality or do anything silly like selling unvaccinated cats.

Of course the difficulty then will be keeping the stud and the active girls happy Our two Glitterglam girls are already screaming like mad! Anyone know of a cat contraceptive?

Ovarid is a cat contraceptive, however on talking to my vet, he will not prescribe it due to side effects eg inducing pyometra and diabetes.
Loads of breeders do use it and may have experiences of it to share.

Some also use Piriton, but again I have no experience of it, it is not a contraceptive but just cools down the noise by sedating them slightly, ie it just takes the edge off the heat.

Perhaps think of putting a neutered cat that he gets on with, in with your stud for some company.

Hi I am fairly new to cats but not so much so to dogs. I am in the USA and I am also not sure of the UK. But have you looked into doing your own vacs? I use to vacinate our puppies back in the day and purchased the vacs online. Here is a website I found with a quick search, www.entirelypets.com. I know some will be against vacs by yourself, obviously you have to figure out what your doing first But it is better then no vacs at all. Just an opinion, I wish you the best with your cats and kittens
