That is the question

My future breeding queen Harlequin is 10mths old and currently calling her head off and beginning to wee on everything in sight. I am thinking about possibly taking her to stud but I was rather hoping to wait until she reached 1 year. I have bred cats at 10-11.5 months with no ill effect but I feel much more comfortable when they are a year old. However her spraying and wailing is driving me to distraction, she doesn't seem to go out of heat at all - just all day every day 24-7.

Just wondering what others do in this situation and what age people tend to breed their queens?

If your girl is in good condition and a healthy weight then I would mate her, preferably if she has been in heat at least twice. Ten months old isn't too young an age, especially if she seems to be a constant caller.
