People in work are shocked by the price of kittens £450 - £500 is normal is this area, but they clearly do not take into consideration I have to ay £500 stud fee plus the queen cost £1200, tests for FELV ect £71 and thats before you even get any kittens! you may only get 2 kittens. Breeders are rolloing in it??? i think not.
There is a huge difference between a breeding queen and a pet (in price) maybe thats why people buy them(pet price) and use them to make a quick buck as i said prev if there is no money getting spend on the kittens, stud fee ect then its a nice little earner for £200 a baby. These people have no concern about the cat just the money..simple.
I show dogs and when they have pups they are sold endorsed, meaning no pups allowed! however i would no way reduce the price because you cant breed from them, the same effort has gone into each and every pup!
