Hi there,
Most 'mainstream' cat food is made up of only around 4% meat & animal derivatives. The higher the meat content, the better. Natures menu is another higher meat content food (around 60/70%) that can be bought in most places, also Iams is around 24% meat which is better than Felix/Whiskas etc.
My two were on a diet of Bozita (which is around 90% meat) and Orijen biscuits (no cereal fillers) which worked for a while.....they then decided Bozita was so disgusting
and will now no longer eat it on a daily basis!)
That said, I have had my two on Felix (solidly) for several weeks, I don't get any tummy problems from either of them (My female, Saffy used to suffer terribly from IBD)
