I put a bit on your other thread but this was the basis of it - it's a good idea to keep a new kitten on what they were getting at the breeder's to start with so that they don't have to cope with new food as well as new surroundings. When/if you do decide to change the food, introduce the new food slowly. What you choose depends on whether you want to feed wet food or dry food (or both), whether you want to try raw food and where you will be buying from (supermarkets, internet etc). The general advice is to go for the best quality you can get (not always the most expensive) and avoid foods with lots of grains or additives which aren't natural to a cat's diet. How much you feed them depends a bit on the food and whether they're having wet and dry or just one - there are usually feeding guides on the packs. Mine are adult and eat 100g wet twice a day (each), plus dry which they graze at any time.

I feed mine a mixture of Bozita wet (from Zooplus) and raw (from northwestpetfoods) and they have Orijen dry food down all day. There are lots of other options though and it's a question of finding a food that suits your particular cat.
