Does anyone have suggestions on what to feed my cat to get his weight back up. He went from 9 lbs to 6.4 lb I am getting really scared. I worry everytime I get up in the morning. I am giving him a mixture of raw chicken and pumpkin. He had an whole salmon over a couple days last week. Plus my vet is trying him on a new diet a lady that has a bengal suggested. I cannot remember it's name it is more for the sensitive stomach. But I really want to get weight on him. I worry about his heart and bones... everything. I would love any suggestions. Thanks.

there are a couple of good products on the market
there is hills science plan and also do prescibed food for different ailments
also there is NEUTRO kitten and all other cats ages which is good for health/bones etc with no additives.
just a question as you are on the raw diet... has he been wormed recently? as this also could be a bearing factor?
is he lively and wanting to play? or just sleeping all the time?
can you see his 3rd eyelid all the time? this goes from right to left and is a greyish white. if so this could indicate being a bit under the weather.
does he have constant loose stools?what did you used to feed him on?

Yes he is very active and his eyes and coat is still looks fantastic. He looks great except he looks like a walking bone rack. I was feeding him royal canin ID and other senstive products over the past year. Perhaps I should try kitten food for awhile.

Yes he has been wormed also.

Mikesch developed a liking for Innova Evo canned food. It's a high protein - no grains food with all the minerals and vitamins a cat needs; I guess the next best thing to feeding a raw diet. The first time I fed it, he wasn't too thrilled, but by now he's delighted every time I open a can of it. My other cat won't touch it though, but both of them will eat the Evo dry food.
