I am new to the forums!

We are going to pick up out new Bengal at the end of November, and plan on raw feeding or at least modified raw. We lost our first Bengal in September due to HCM. He was a rescue Bengal, but made us fall in love with the breed. We decided we were ready to add another to our family.

I am looking into doing the raw diet with him, while also keeping down a high protein dry kibble for him as we do have two other cats as well. (Any advice on a great dry kibble?).

Anyways, Is there anywhere to get pre-made/portioned raw or a raw based food to feed him? With Oscar, we did feed raw but I would like something more convenient for days when I have to work late or things like that.

Welcome to our forum. You can google "premade raw cat food" and there are several manufacturers that will deliver to your home. I'm sure it's quite expensive and most prefer to do the mixture themselves and just freeze it in individual servings and then thaw out when needed. The important thing is to make sure the raw diet has all the nutrients and supplements that a cat will need and it contains taurine and calcium. As for dry food -- a high quality dry food will work okay. What are your other cats eating? It's not as if Bengals require a special diet requirement. There is no law that says raw is better than manufactured cat food. Having other cats, it becomes an issue when trying to keep one cat from devouring another's food if the diet is different. If this is something you have time to deal with, by all means, go this route. But, I'd feed all three cats the same type of food just for the convenience, except that if this bengal is a kitten, it should be fed kitten food that is higher in nutrients to get the growing going.

Sorry that I haven't responded. My son has been sick.

We live in the South Eastern part of the states, and will be moving to Tx this coming spring for my husband's job.

Right now, our two cats are on Purina Pro Plan. It isn't what I would like them on, but that is what they were eating at the rescue we got them from, and we have had a hard time changing them over to anything else. We ordered Wellness Core for them, but they went days without eating.. The PP and WC were mixed together, and they wouldn't touch it. I gave in and put the pro plan back down.

And it seems to be available in parts of Texas. If you visit one of the stores that carries Rad Cat (they have a store locator on their website), chances are really good that they'll also carry other similar brands as well, is how it seems to work around these parts.

I alternate between making my own and Nature's Variety Instinct Raw - duck flavour.

I live in Utah and have no problem finding that food here.

I gave up on my bengal! For six years, he lived on Friskies with his previous owner. I tried the high quality food and he refused to touch it. There is no point in wasting your money on food your cat won't eat. He now eats Fancy Feast exclusively. Not the best for him, but I've tried everything the pet store has to offer and it is the only thing he will touch. And he's healthy.
