Tried new food

Bought some nature's menu wet food, magic took one sniff of it and walked off, it sat there all night and dried up, will be taking it back to pets at home as they will give you part of your money back which is handy

I tried my two with this and they also turned their noses up! Didn't know I could take it back to pets at home, mind you, the local RSPCA wouldn't have done so well out of me if I had!

If you are looking for a new wet food, have you tried meowing heads? Also sold at pets at home, and I also get Thrive from them but that's online only.

This was wet food, I am trying orijen dry at the moment but he will only eat it mixed with his old food at the moment, will have a look at this one you suggest thanks

I only purchase one or two cans of any new food. That way if Raiden doesn't like it, I'm not out much. I am feeding a cat now who is not the least bit particular about the food he eats, so he gets all the leftovers!

Unfortunately, I have to make a trip to the pet store to get a couple of cans of different brands. Once I find something Raiden will eat, I can order a case of it online. Mine is a very finicky eater -- has to be something that's either pate or in very small pieces as he can't seem to handle larger chunks in the food and I don't have time to chop it all up for him.

Have now gone to James wellbeloved dry in fish flavour and magic actually likes this, he was not impressed with the orijen.

What do others think of James wellbeloved is it an OK food or not so OK.

Everyone has their own opinion about pet food -- someone who thinks it's great for the ingredients, another will find something in it that they don't approve of for their pet. It's just so subjective! What matters is that it's a high-quality food that your pet will eat!

I 100% agree with Sherry. Everyone has their opinions as to good/bad brands. One person may have had a terrible experience, another a great one. I feed Suri Blue Buffalo Indoor Freedom Kitten dry food, as well as Evangers 100% Rabbit wet food. Blue Buffalo has always had decent consumer reviews....minus their dishonesty regarding ingredients in the past. I buy it anyways. Evangers also has a pretty bad rap due to some dishonesty in the past. While these companies histories bug me, I cant argue with the quality of these products. Suri LOVES her foods and appears to be thriving on it...so I continue to buy it.

Really, if you look hard enough....EVERY pet product has negative reviews for one thing or another. Just find something your kitty likes that YOU feel good buying. If youre in the US try ordering through chewy.com. Great prices, FAST shipping, and outstanding customer service.

I love Chewy.com. Got a handwritten postcard from them welcoming me into the family! Their service is fantastic -- free shipping on orders of $49 or more, gets to me in two days and they sell EVERYTHING. I was so tired of going to the store and they had six cans of what I wanted and Raiden goes through three of those cans a day! I need cases! Going to the pet store causes way too much confusion as to what's good and what's not as the pet store sells EVERYTHING. I've learned Raiden loves chicken and turkey the best. No quail, no rabbit, very little beef, and absolutely NO seafood of any type. It took for well over a year to discover that after throwing a ton of food down the garbage disposal. At least now, it's just a few pieces left over in his bowl. He's not on the best stuff in the world, but it's what he will eat! The really expensive food is a waste.

I agree, I have bought so many of the expensive stuff just to give it away to someone else, so I'm afraid I stick to what magic will eat

Too bad it takes us so long to understand that the cat is going to eat what it wants to eat. I try a varied diet, including dry food, and I'm just now -- 2-1/2 years later -- to where I know what Raiden will eat and not eat, so I'm sticking to the brands and flavors that he will eat -- and he better not change on me because I buy cases of this stuff at a time.
