Probably a very stupid question but can I give my kitten grilled chicken? I buy my daughter the organic grilled chicken strips. Similar to the foster farms grilled chicken strips you can buy for salads. I realized they were about to expire & I gave the kitten a few bites as I cut his nails. He is getting some dry & wet food daily. Wet is so expensive! Hoping to toss in the chicken as treats & extra protein? My breeder suggested a teaspoon of shredded cheese for extra calcium as they grow too.

I'm not familiar with the ingredients in the organic grilled chicken strips, but if I were going to feed my bengal grilled chicken, I would grill it myself-i spice free -- and feed it to him. Just know that it's not going to have all the nutrients a cat needs. Wet food is expensive, but it comes along with owning a cat. You want to feed your kitty a high-quality cat food. Dry food is not a problem, but you should supplement with wet cat food.

I get that organic grilled chicken for my lunch and put it on salad; it's pretty tasty. Regular roasted chicken is too bland. That tells me that the packaged organic grilled chicken has seasoning and additives that I would not give my cat. For them I give them plain roasted chicken or sautéed chicken liver as a treat. I make sure there is no salt or pepper in the human food I give them.
