Can I give my kitten cooked chicken or should I wait until she's a little bit older?

In my experience, you can feed your kitten/cat cooked chicken, however, it's usually a last resort in cases where said kitten/cat has been ill and a vet has advised cooked chicken with boiled rice until their stomach gets better. So the simple answer is yes, it shouldn't hurt, short term.

For what reason are you wanting to feed cooked chicken? There's little context or background along with your question. It would be helpful to know more so others can give you more accurate advice.

It's my understanding that wet / tinned food is far better for your kitten than dry, especially if said kitten isn't a good drinker

Hi there your kitty might just not like dry food.

I have yet to find a dry food that my cat Dexter will eat. I understand that wet is far better for them than dry but I want him to eat some dry for when we are away overnight that sort of thing.

I was using top quality cat food which you can get from Zooplus (I'm in the UK) but it upset my cat's tum (was probably too rich for him) so he now has Sainsbury's Delicious range in jelly and Sheba terrine which I understand are decent supermarket brands.

If your kitty is still refusing after trying a different wet food I would take a trip to the vet.

What did the breeder have your kitten on was it the same dry food as if it was and kitty is not eating it might indicate it's more of a medical issue.

I would always take any new kitten to the vet anyway just for a check up.
