lollo, yes that's a good idea actually particularly with them being foreign foods.

Wonder why they don't sell them more readily in the UK.

Also there must be many people who would like to buy better quality cat food from supermarkets too. All they seem to have here is Sheba, Iams that type of thing and not really sure of the quality of those foods anyway.

There are some available in shops.

Here a&e some of the foods my kittens get raised on:

Wainwrights wet from Pets at Home
Hi Life - some supermarkets and Pets at Home. Check the meat content as not all are high.
Sainsburys do a pate type food which is high eat content. Mine love it. Can't remember name though.
Thrive - some sainsburys and some Pets at Home. Little expensive tins.

They get occasional almo nature and app laws tins but these are not complete.

Some big garden centres have a large selection!

lollo thanks, I might take a trip to Sainsbury's which I can get to as I don't drive so have to rely on dh to ferry me everywhere.

It's called Simply Delicious... Or something like that. It's called mouse but it's really more a firm pate texture... Firmer than the natures menu and seems to go down well. I'm home now so I may take some pictures for you if i get a chance....

Forgot the HiLife... No pictures but it is similar to wainwright a in texture. Make sure it's the high meat content version though as the others aren't great....

lollo, thanks so much for taking all that time to show me the various brands I really do appreciate it very good of you :)

I fancy the Sainsbury's one as it's easy to get my hands on so will get that. I have a feeling that having 3 separate choices that they like sounds like a good idea. They have definitely gone off Natures Menu as I have a couple of sachet's left which I'm trying to get them to use up and my old Burmese Muskey has been in a funny mood all day.

He has been going into the kitchen where I feed them staring me out lol.

I am sure he wants me to dish up Grau or Animonda Carny. When I fed them both yesterday the Animonda I haven't seen Muskey tuck into cat food in a very long time the way he did that and it's lovely to see him being so enthusiastic about his food again.

I wonder though if feeding them lots of variety might actually make them more fussy? In that they sort of chop and change what they want all the time?

Also if I am feeding say 3 different types of favoured food how do you rotate them? Would you feed them a different type every day or change it once a week? Would it upset their tums if I was feeding them 3 different brands of food weekly for instance?

Mine are fed 3-4 times a day, sometimes more as I'm home all day. I give them a different food each time. I'm betting some of the cats prefer certain foods but it all goes. I have 4 adults and 2 kittens.

Right, I picked up some Sainsbury Delicious Mousse and the ones that are in pouches (jelly).

Tried them both with the Mousse and Muskey my Burmese threw it up and then neither of them would touch it  .

Just tried them with the pouches in jelly and they both seem to like that. They licked their bowls clean so I'm going to get a few more flavours in the range in case they get bored of the same one.

I'm finding that Dexter particularly seems to love something and then suddenly just go off it! Fussy git

I have been rotating too so that they don't get fed up of the same thing but so far we've been through Natures Menu (he liked it then went off it), Animonda Carny (really loved this but seems to be going off it!), Grau (liked it but not as much as Carny which he has now gone off).

He really likes the small tins of Schesir Kitten in Tuna but I read from another site that it's not complete? Is that right? He seems to like food in jelly from what I can tell and not mousse/pate types.

Many thanks.

I feel for you as I'm currently having similar issues with one of mine - and he is usually the greedy one who will eat anything. I think I made a mistake introducing them to Lily's Kitchen as now that is all he wants. He keeps going to where it is kept and crying for it! But I can't afford to feed them exclusively on that!
