Hi
I have two male Bengals, Hendrix and Jagger. They are coming up to 11 months of age. My partner has been keen to get them onto adult food for some time now - I think because they look fully grown, in his mind, they are no longer kittens! As a result, I have been gradually weaning them onto adult food but have put my foot down as much as possible and have made sure they are still getting some kitten food - probably half their wet food intake. They are both on adult dry, Hendrix had to go on Royal Canin Sensible due to a sensitive tummy anyway.
I'm trying to decide whether to give up now on the kitten food and have them totally on adult. However, I do want to make sure they get the best start in life and would like your opinions on whether going totally on adult now will do them any harm? They are pretty much there age wise, but as I've been feeding them some adult for a couple of months now wonder if I should keep feeding them the kitten wet they are still having until they reach 12 months.
I have been feeding them good quality food with good meat contents (40% approx.), ie, James Wellbeloved (kitten), Wainwrights (adult) and Purely (adult) and a grain free dry (Arden Grange) in addition to RC Sensible.
Your thoughts would be appreciated.
Many thanks.
