Hi all,

My Bengal boys are turning one year old on June 1st, 2014 (3 weeks).

I have fed them a consistent diet of canned Wellness Core wet kitten food with just a small offering of dry Blue Buffalo kitten food so they will be used to it in case I have to leave for over 24 hours.

They have a water fountain that they love and they both drink water constantly.

Ozzie is now over 14lbs and Koji is around 12lbs.

My question is, given that bengals continue to grow and physically mature up to 2 years, should I continue with the kitten food until that time? When is it ideal to start transitioning them to adult food?

Wow, kitten food for a whole year is a lot longer than I stuck with that. I think I fed mine kitten food for about the first month I think you can safely switch to adult food anytime you want now.

Yeah, I figured it was a little long and not really necessary any longer. But it took a while to find good food that they really liked so I stuck with it.

They're definitely not overweight. Still very lean so I know it's not doing any harm.

Good to hear other opinions though. I haven't read too much on this topic specific to Bengals.
