Does anyone have a way or means of getting their raw food sample analyzed for 'completeness'? All the places I've looked at online talk about needing this or that in the food, but don't provide a way to test whether sufficient amounts of this or that are actually in the food!

Perhaps I'm fretting over nothing, but it would at the very least be interesting to know whether the food I'm making for my kitties meet 'acceptable standards' for a healthy cat diet. Wouldn't you want to 'really' know?

If you consider nutrition in a generic sense (not even talking cats at this point) this 'standard' is going to be a moving target when you consider environment, body type/size, current health, activity, age, the list goes on. Maybe this detailed information will only lead to more questions and not answers!

I guess what I'm really looking for is short-term assurance that what my kitties are eating is meeting all their major dietary needs. They look good, have a great coat, are active and frisky, interact well with each other and us, have a healthy appetite, and poop/pee like clockwork. Maybe I have my answer! I dunno...

Yea, that's cool, I'm not trying to discourage you from going down this line of inquiry. I think it's kind of a cool idea actually, seeing how to get an analysis of all the different nutritional components of a given food. I might even do it if I were doing my own raw food Or at least see if such a thing were practical (from a financial standpoint). If nothing else it might be a way to compare two different formulas or foods side-by-side, even if it isn't 100% clear which is "better" and for what reason. Even if you could focus on just a few of the items, like protein or ash or whatever. I remember a couple years back that Bengals Illustrated magazine did a nutrition article where they had some discussion about such a breakdown (of like 3 or 4 or so of the items). It's interesting stuff.
