Hi all,

We currently feed yasmin wet and dry food both standard supermarket shelf brands(whiskers). We would like to improve her diet and would like some advice we can't afford to be spending a fortune but I have only just realised her wet whiskers wet food only contains 4% meat I was disgusted.

I have read appaws has a high meant content but read it makes cats Ill and mostly is used as a treat.

We currently feed her one pouch a day half morning and night with biscuits down all day(she's small).
I'd like recommendations on wet food that has decent meat content and suitable biscuits for her to achieve a complete diet.

I can't believe pet food companies get away with selling meat products that contain less than 5% meat!!!!

Are you in the UK? If so the following are available from pets at home and have good meat content

Wainwrights, Hi Life (these are complete wet foods)
James Wellbeloved is pretty good too
Applaws tins are not a complete meal so not brilliant as anything much other then a treat.

I take it those are recommendations on wet food ?

dry food = Orijen www.bernpetfoods.co.uk or Arden Grange www.ardengrange.com Both are grain free

Biscuits, Happy Cat, Applaws - both are high in meat content.

Arden grange as mentioned also.

and yes my suggestions were wet previously.

So say we feed yasmin one pouch of say hi life a day with appaws dry food all day will her diet be complete? As I said we split a wet food pouch in half over the day, she is very small..
