I ask this question to people in the UK as people from all over the world post here and I have often never heard of the brands of food they mention in this forum.

So, what do UK people feed their bengals?

My two are currently on whiskas kitten pouches, which is what the breeder started them on. I also give them chicken, pork or beef at least once or twice a week (depending on what I'm having myself). I have not given them much in the way of a raw food.

My girl will eat Royal Canin dry food once or twice a week, but my boy is not in the least bit interested.

They both seem to be doing well, although he can be a bit "farty" at times.

I'm aware that whiskas doesn't have a particularly high meat content. Perhaps this is why they always seem hungry? They are ALWAYS ready to eat, and have between 6-8 pouches of whiskas a day between them. Is this normal, or is this a bit much?

I buy mine Amonda Carny from zooplus and also feed natures valley which i can get from Pets Corner shops.
I got some free royal canin dry food free with my last zooplus order - i give it as treats - and it makes them smelly!

Mainly Gourmet Perle in gravy - The jelly ones make him smelly, and the tuna w/o shrimps makes him sick! He loves Royal Canin Dental and he now has the Ageing +12 biscuits as a daily extra / replacement for vomited food. I also feed Encore and he loves the ones with chicken / fish but w/o cheese as that also makes him sick....

He will enjoy something one time and hoover the bowl, then the next time it's offered will walk away refusing to eat. I am sure he is a freak as he can have something one day and be sick, then be fine a week later with the exact same food! No rhyme nor reason to it!

Whiskas, Felix and that new Sainsbury food turn him right off - would rather starve than eat them!

Oh well.... them's the breaks! He's regularly checked over by my vet, and is in excellent condition for nearly 14 years - no paunch and good teeth - those he hasn't lost fighting!

I pick my kitten up on the 21st December and have been told by my breeder that our kitten is currently on Hills science plan. When I get my kitten I'm going to keep her on Hills for a while and then try to move her on to Applaws due to the high meat content.

Hi BengalDaddy

The ones in jelly are very smelly, and have a pale rough pate type consistency with a white goo all over which is very unappetising! IMHO As Good As Felix and the new Meaty Whiskas look better....

The mousse are like a harder pureed baby food, with a little soft juice and again not particularly appetising. I prefer the look of the Gourmet pates and terrines by comparison. Merlin would only eat the turkey mousse - which was like the Gourmet ones, but refused point blank to touch the duck (which he normally inhales) and chicken versions.

I know Lollo has had better responses from her gang, though - Not sure if that has continued to be the case?

My snow Bengal seems not to be able to tolerate anything with any sort of grain in it and immediately gets diahorrea if fed dry food. I slowly moved her from a huge combination of products that she came home from the breeder with onto Natures Menu kitten pouches - which are chicken flavour and relatively bland. Once her system had had a break and she'd been on those for a couple of months I started to introduce the Natures Menu raw food. she now has a combination diet of the pouches and the raw food and tolerates it all really well...no diahorrea for quite some time now :-)

I think K9 natural feline freeze dry cat food is the best and balance diet . No need to prepare raw meat diet anymore . Hi guys do give it a try or go look at the website .

I may get a bit of stick for this as I'm told the brand I feed lily is bad.

I feed her Felix.
I have tried expensive food and raw diet but she will touch none of it. One day we bought a pouch of felix as desperation was setting in due to her not eating anything.. Low and behold she scoffed it within minutes. We do also give her baby chicks (obviously dead) every now and again as she enjoys them but she will not touch any other food or raw meats we have offered her.

It's hilarious as she won't eat expensive food... but she'll eat coconut cake (she grabbed a piece of mine once, never again after) and cheap food.

As for kibble we feed her Purina Kitten Kibble and she alwayyys has kibble down.

Natural Instinct (a UK based company) does pre-made complete raw food, which you keep frozen and de-frost as needed: http://www.naturalinstinct.com/categories/cat-food/

Then we order Grau, Catz Finefood and Bozita from Zooplus: http://www.zooplus.co.uk/shop/cats/cann ... od_pouches

We have found that Iams wet food is the best cheap, readily available food for a quick stock up when there's no time to receive a big internet order: http://groceries.asda.com/asda-webstore ... 0000451396

I hope that helps :)
