And thanks for the comments on their cuteness! Here's a picture of TJ carrying around his receipt. He is absolutely obsessed with carrying around a receipt, and when one is no longer crispy, I give him a fresh one. The irony is that these receipts are often from buying them toys he completely ignores They are now 14 weeks old. TJ is very affectionate and sweet, while Mackey is a mischievous spaz. They are both perfect.


note: TJ does not eat the receipts. He just carries them and plays with them. They are fully in tact when I take them away, so no worries there.

That's so funny that TJ likes receipts lol.

Chilli has a toy with a long green feather boa thing hanging off it and he often grabs it in his mouth and just walks round with it!!!

The metronidizale didn't work so now we're trying a liquid panacur suspension. Ugh. When will it end!

Sorry to hear that! I have read that sometimes it is necessary to give both metronidazole and Panacur together as Giardia can be difficult to get rid of (reinfection is common).

Did you get tested for Tritrichomonas Foetus (TF)? If not, it could be that they also have this as well (Giardia and TF often go together hand in hand so to speak).

The vet did not know about TF when I asked, so no he has not been tested. The Panacur has not seemed to take effect, as they still have diarrhea. HOWEVER, the litter that the breeder had that had Giardia are clear of it after Panacur treatment, so it seems almost certain, along with the test, that it was Giardia. Maybe it has passed and they are having other indigestion problems.

Anyways, I'm going to the vet on Saturday. They're supposed to get their third vaccination but we'll have to postpone since they're not %100, and instead we'll talk about further approaches.

Sorry to hear they're still having problems. I really think you should print off the info from this forum on TF and take it to your vet and get tested - better to be safe than sorry. Also, the sooner it's diagnosed the better (if it is TF). If left untreated, it can cause lifelong problems such as IBS or colitis I believe.

As I stated previously, Giardia and TF often go hand in hand so it is possible that they have both (poor kitties).
