Well know it's an old post but thought I would share!!

I brought my first bengal girl from Zawadi just over 2 years ago after researching them for 9 years
I was really impressed how well the cats are looked after and the fact that they are all indoors except the stud muffins of course :!:
I then went back aolmost 2 years later to purchase my first breeding girl as I say purely because I liked the way things were done.
Connie breeds some really nice cats so was pleased with my choice

Our first bengal Sienna was from Forestgems. However Sienna developed a terrible skin complaint just as she matured to breeding age. We had her spayed but it still couldn't be resolved so with Sienna's welfare in mind she was put to sleep in Dec 07. We have since bought bengals from Gaylee and Newtons. Our experiences of all these breeders are that they have all been very friendly, informative & their cats welfare is of upmost importance. :)

Hi Everyone

We also got a our first girl from Forestgems, Jaz and she is amazing. Hopefully should be in kitten as she has spent over a week enjoying special loving from Phoenix who was from Korshki. We also have 2 cats from Llandar, one from Bambino and the other from Junglefire.

I wouldnt swap any of our cats as I love them all!!!

...and just to keep this very old post going, I got both my bengal George, and my Toyger from Gaynor at Queenannecats. Just trusted Gaynor from day one, and she hasn't let me down.

Great cats, wonderful support. What more can I say?

My husband and myself searched the net we came across a site www.bengalkittenlist.co.uk/kittenlist where we phoned a couple of breeders close to home...well around the 2.30hours drive.

I had made arrangements to view kitties from a wonderful breeder in sheffield, when my hubby came across www.bengatage.moonfruit.com
we just found Lara and Andy really friendly and what was more appealing Andy is a qualified vet.

We pick our two kitties up on Mon. We initially wanted one but decided on two as we couldnt leave the last one behind...i am sure they would have sold her. Bengatage Hayfa and Bengatage Hero will be a welcome new addition to our family.

To be honest I am a late convert to the Bengal breed. My husband had been very keen on the Bengal for a long while and I have never been sure about taking on such a cat. However, when our new kitten seemed a bit lonely and we did not have enough time to spend with him as we worked full-time, it was decided that we would get a second cat.

I was still very unsure if a Bengal would be a good choice with Munchkin but I chatted to some people on a forum about it and one lady had successfully had both Bengals and ragdolls together (ragdolls are very similar in temperament to a munchkin).

I got the name of the two breeders she had chosen and contacted them, one of them did not think the Bengal was the right breed for me (maybe I seemed too unsure myself), however Jane from http://www.spotsnswirls.com/ has been great. She really took the time to talk to me about the Bengal breed and I feel in love. She has been wonderful and supportive with all my questions and pestering and I don’t think I would have gotten a Bngal in the end if not for her love of the breed.

I have watched Akiba grow up from when he was three weeks old and fallen for him with his inquisitive nature and playfulness. Now with less than a week to go until he comes home for good, I know I have made the right choice and the two boys are going to get along like a house on fire :D

I got Sammie as a rescue, but she is from the Limited Editions cattery in upstate New York. I don't think the lady is breeding bengals anymore from what I've managed to find online. Kinda makes me sad, I wanted to take Sammie back to her birthplace for a visit

And not to be left out.... I got Zebedee from Applegarth Bengals, Herne Bay (UK). I checked the breeder's kitten list and made a few calls. Libby sounded really friendly AND of all the pics I got from the breeders, I was instantly drawn to Zebby. Because the breeder was so far away (7.5 hour journey there and back), I trusted my sister, her OH and my young nephew and niece (who love animals) to visit Libby for the initial deposit (they live in Kent). Zebby was almost catnapped by my sister and her family because they were so in love with him so I happily made the trip to bring him home at 12 weeks and I haven't looked back since :)

Bumping an ancient thread lol I hope no one minds.

Anyway my Mina was from IndyKatz in 1999 so not too many Bengal breeders around back then, I actually was just very lucky when I got Mina, and my new little girl who we're gonna call Sylvanas (I wonder who gets the reference) is from Junglefire should be getting her end of July beginning of August after my hip surgery next week is all done and I'm walking again. She's related to Mina via her dad quite a few generations back which was one thing I was hoping to find, has a really nice pedigree and Liz has been really helpful with anything I needed to ask her or enquire about.

Great thread to bring back with new members. Raiden came from Belladonna Bengals cattery in Knoxville, TN. Gina no longer breeds and I think she only did a handful of litters. It's amazing how many of the older breeders are still around and actively breeding.

I got my 2 I have now and my previous one from a breeder called Jayuzuri bengals in Bristol United Kingdom.

They are just a little family run business, when I got my first bengal I liked the fact the cats all lived in the home, they were well socialised and the place was spotless.

Since then they have had lovely heated rooms built for the cats, you can view both parents and any thing else you want to.

You can visit as many times as you want while waiting for your baby, they sent me pictures, the aftercare was brilliant I could phone up anytime if there were any problems.

I have been back 3 times now to the same breeder.

My Bengal boy comes from PrettyDiamond Bengals in Germany :) He arrives on the 13th of August and I can't wait!
I picked from a breeder I felt comfortable talking to - and who don't mind me writing almost everyday with questions and the like ;)
