Help please! I have gone from taking a casual interest in this beautiful breed to now becoming obsessed with them. I haven't even got my first Bengal beauty, she arrives on Saturday but I have now somehow managed to convince my husband that we absolutely must have 2 Bengal cats! He is used to me and my wild ideas he puts up with a lot! He always puts up a fuss but he loves animals as much as me and he is equally excited to be collecting our 2 girls on Saturday! What is it with these beautiful animals that holds such an attraction to me and all of you other lovely people? I have watched every you tube video about them I have read every thread on this forum (nearly) and I feel as though I am much better prepared than I was before. My two girls are from the same breeder and were born on the same day but are from different litters. My first is a beautiful silver girl with gorgeous markings and the second is a blue marbled Bengal. Do I have this right that a Blue marbled cat is less desirable or marbled Bengals in general? I think that she is beautiful regardless and I am going to love them both with equal passion. A few last minute questions before they arrive though. If they go into a safe room and one seems ready to come out of the room do I then wait until the other one is ready or just go ahead and let the first one explore. Also I have a little dog do I show him the kittens in their carriers or do I wait and take them straight upstairs and introduce them later on when the kittens are more comfortable, its just that our little boy will smell and hear them so I wanted him to see what they are. My breeder has started to introduce my two girls to each other this week but will they need separate safe areas or will they feel better if they are in together? Thank you Brian as always you give great advice. I did not mean to offend with the question of desirability of the Blue Marbled little girl . I was on a website and researching the different colourings and markings and it said that the blue marbled Bengal was not as desirable. The marbled blue is also cheaper than the silver rosetted so it was only a question about why that would be the case. As I say I think that she is absolutely gorgeous and I certainly don't feel that she is any less desirable than my silver girl. I hope that you are right and that they will take great comfort from each other when they move to their new home. I think that I am as prepared as I can be so I can't wait now to get them both home.

Okay, you crazy cat person! Two kittens will keep each other occupied! You will probably feel a little left out. First of all -- the coloring and markings of a bengal are simply a personal preference. All bengals are valued about the same -- depending on their F generation (removed from the asian leopard cat), coming from a long line of Supreme Grand Champion show cats, and the breeder's reputation. A bengal cat is a bengal cat.

I think if the breeder is socializing them together, they should be fine together. Like Brian said ... just watch and see how they interact. They are kittens, so they will rough and tumble a lot and I think having them together in the safe room will help them transition to your household.

I noticed in the other thread you started talking about "cats" and I was thinking, no, they are only getting one cat. What is going on? Now I know! Bless you for opening up your heart and home to two little ones! One is an adventure, two ... well, I don't know what two might be. Happily, you are about to find out!!! Can't wait to hear back from you once you bring them home on Saturday.

Thank you Sherry I can always count on you to make me smile and I really value your advice. I did want two but my husband said no, our little dog Freddie might get get left out and he has been so lonely since losing his kitty playmate and snuggle bunny. BUT the more that I learn about these gorgeous creatures the more I feel that we needed two. My breeder has also given me some great advice and said that her kittens are sharing the house with two lovely Labs and that they are used to mixing with lots of other cats and dogs and also people ( we have lots of those lol). So two Bengals it is and only 4 more extremely long days before they come home. I honestly feel like this is just the beginning of a long love affair with the Bengal cat breed and I hope to be able to impart my knowledge in years to come! Kind regards xxx

You won't regret getting two. They interact with each other and play all day. Imagine if there was only one…you would have to play with your cat constantly or they would cause trouble out of boredom. The dog might be fun to torment, but there is nothing like another cat.

I'd absolutely go for two. It's a completely different experience imo, not just the sum of one plus one. There's so much fantastic interaction on cat-to-cat level that you'll love every second of it.

Today is Thursday, so Saturday is just around the corner. Had I been bold and brazen enough to get a bengal cat years ago, I probably would have gotten TWO. But, Raiden came into my life when he was six years old (he is now nine) and learning about the bengal breed has been challenging and rewarding at the same time. I've had cats for over 50 years -- but a bengal is totally different. I'm happy to have gotten mine when he was older as I'm not sure I could have dealt with a bengal kitten.

I think your two will add so much to your household. It sounds as if you've picked a great breeder so your kitties should be well socialized together. I'm going to love reading about their adventures.
