Hi All

New to the Bengal scene.
We are looking to buy 2 kittens.
Does anybody know of Spring Meadow bengals near Cardiff?

They look to have some very nice Bengals, but concerned that they are kept in cages/??
From pics looks like they are indoor cages but not in house.

Please advise if anybody has had dealings with this breader.

If I were you I would look for another breeder, I didn't see anywhere that the cats are screened for HCM or PK def. While they might still screen I would email/call and ask. If they do ask to see proof. I don't think it's that uncommon that adult breeding cats are in indoor/outdoor runs. While it might not sound so great it depends on how often they have human interaction and how well they are cared for. However, there is NO reason at all that the kittens should be in cages or runs!!! They should be raised in a home surrounded by people a everyday noises to prepare them for their forever homes. If this is the breeder you like just do your homework and don't be afraid to ask questions!

The kittens look amazing in the pics, better than a lot of other breeders i have seen.

The breeder says the kittens are only in the pens at night and free in the day with camera for monitoring.
Claiming that all kittens/ ctas have a good temperament.

Hello!

Personally i haven't had any dealings with Spring Meadow Bengals before so i'm afraid i'm not able to provide any advice in regards to them.

However if around the Cardiff area is where you would ideally like to find a breeder, i would recommend Suntouched Bengals as that is around the same place. Their cats are all PK Def tested, they carry out regular HCM screening and a lot of the breeding cats are show champions. The breeder is really lovely and the kittens are brought up in the home so they are completely used to every day noises etc.

Good luck with your search, it can seem a little overwhelming at first with all the information around about various things to consider when finding a breeder but do take the time to do it, it really makes a big difference :)

Have taken all the advice on-board and am being very patient... Which is very difficult, we want a bengal kitten!!!

We have a breeder local to us in North London 5 min away and ticks all the boxes, just have to wait for a new litter... Went to visit and she is very nice.
The one mentioned above would have been approx 2.5 hrs away.
Will let you guys know how we get on.
