That is definitely the left kitten. He will still be unique looking and hopefully will have a great personality. My older bengal doesn't have huge rosettes, she has ticking and her spots are faded. She was more defined as a younger kitten. We still love her and people still think she is pretty and unique looking. I am used to looking at all these gorgeous cats also so to me she is plain looking. She is great though and I'm sure your kitten will be also.

The only issue I was having with the situation is the fact that most breeders would up the price for the kitten on the right because it has open rosettes, not that the kitten on the left isn't a pretty kitten it's just not what "most" people would pick between the two. Me on the other hand I love dark inky spots!! I just didn't want to op to pay for a kitten expecting one thing and get a totally different kitten. If you are happy with the kitten that's all that matters in the long run! I think they are both beautiful kittens. My girl was half the price of her siblings because of her "poor markings" but she is the best cat I have ever known and she is beautiful IMO

Thank you everyone for your kind words and I really do have mixed feelings at this point. We are going to go through with the purchase however as I just cannot disappoint my younger kids for an issue they would not understand. I'm hoping his personality will win me over so that I could care less how perfect/imperfect his markings are. He is said to be turning very affectionate at this point and not having any issues with having just been weaned. I do have to agree though that it's not very professional for a breeder to send the wrong photo especially when this is the photo he buyer makes the decision to buy on. I do believe it was likely an accident or carelessness, none the less I have expressed my disappointment and frustration to her.

He's a beautiful boy and even a "poorly" marked Bengal is exotic compared to your run of the mill cat. I'm sure you'll be happy with him once you have him home.

The kitten really is marked really bad or poor imo. Is he show quality? No...... but very few bengals are. My girl didnt even have visible rosettes when she was that age but she is a very beautiful bengal now! Give him time to win you over he will be a very stunning cat! He will have rosettes I can already see the center falling out. He will be a nice looking cat and undoubtedly a bengal! I will try to find a picture of BB to show you before and after so you can see how much they can change. I can see him turning out like the cat Elaine posted, which is a very beautiful cat!

I think once you get the bundle of fluff home all thoughts about which markings are better or preferred will go out the window. :biggrin:
