Why do you take everything everyone says and try to make it out to be the worst context possible?

I was answering Bkilgore who stated "EG cats don't have amazing markings" so I responded with some EG cats with fantastic (TO ME) markings. I never once said an SBT doesn't have better markings. That's obvious through selective breeding, and you leave everything about type out of it. You are seriously a bitter woman. The way you describe bengals in some of your posts I wonder why you even come on these forums or own them. If I didn't know better I would think that you were the only one qualified enough to own a bengal.

Anyways I'll leave my decisions to myself I guess or take them elsewhere lol. Thanks to everyone who is supportive. I'll find you a million rehoming ads for regular moggies with behavioral issues, doesn't mean people shouldn't get a cat.

I actually know of the F2 Stryker I'm pretty sure he lives in my state. I looked him up on Facebook and he has issues where he bonded with their cats and not them which ibe been told is detrimental in raising an EG. Also the changes of having a toddler in their house (I do not plan on having children) and the fact the breeder won't take him back, makes me suspect he's behaving bad because of the new changes or wasn't bred to the top standard EG cats need to be bred at.

For anyone that is interested, I am postponing my decision for the time being to do more research. I'm not nearly ready yet to get an EG, but I am leaning that way in the not-so-distant future.

For what it's worth, I don't think Elaine was putting things in a worst context. I think she was just pointing out what she felt was important and overlooked (eg looks vs. sbt looks). I think you took it negatively, which isn't unreasonable. But I don't think she deserved to be called a bitter woman for it.

The posts she's made, while very impersonal and not sugar-coated, I don't think have been anything other than a reasonable and strong opinion (admittedly one that I share, in part, so maybe I'm just biased?). Perhaps if you look at it that way, and just take the words at face value only, it might help you feel less attacked? I really get the feeling she's just trying to provide information (which you've asked for), and not trying to beat you up.

And I'll just butt out now with that :)

I think there is a lot that is lost in translation between the majority of UK users here and those in the USA.

I don't feel bad for what I said. Most of her replies are bitter, and I don't think very many would disagree with me. There's nicer ways to give constructive criticism.

I think I'm going to go back to lurking as there is a trove of information here about these wonderful cats lol

With all that said..

Junglerose, I greatly respect you and your opinion and I am going to take your advice and let Link grow and mature before getting a cat if I do. I've been wish washy with the idea since I found out I would have to separate him from the cat to let it bond to me.

I was annoyed with other unrelated things earlier and your post caught me the wrong way. I'm sorry I came of so harsh.
