Those prices don't make sense to me either. What I remember seeing when I was looking through lots of breeder sites a few years ago, was that the breeders getting rid of their queens were basically free/cheap to a good home. Implying that once you convinced the breeder that you could provide an excellent home, the cat would probably be free.

Well we found our perfect match last week! He is a 1 year old sheeted marble, (not my first choice in colour) but he has the most beautiful personality and thats all that mattered. He is a breeders pet but unfortunately he was getting too rough with his queens, he has been desexed but was still really rough and playful with them. I've never met a cat so cuddly! He's smooching my hands as I type this. He is really good with my kids and dog, has never put a claw out at all, he just loves any attention he can get. His name is Django :) Even my husband loves him and he's not a cat person! My family feels complete again!!
