I am getting a kitten in a few weeks and it looks like it is going to be a touch choice between a mink and lynx. They are litter mates and both parents are gorgeous. The kittens are only 2 weeks old, so they are a little too young to go by patterns.

What would you pick?

I would go by personality, we originally wanted a silver, but there was a pretty mink girl who stole my heart. Also loved her marking because they were darker, but if it wasn't for her personality we would have waited on a silver.

Normally you choose between 6-9weeks of age on purrsonality, then they come home at 12-13weeks of age, so lots of time yet :D

If both colors appeal to you, then look at personality. That could make the difference.

If I were to get another Bengal I would want a Seal Mink marble female. I love the darker swirl pattern. Lynx kittens grow up to be paler and very beautiful but I love the seal mink with aqua colored eyes.

Max is a Seal Lynx and definately not light, this is him as a baby at the breeders:



Max grown up, a couple of years ago now and i think he may be a little darker than this but i liked this picture:
