...I am considering getting a bengal kitten, but I have some doubts...
After reading countless websites and references, many have repeatedly stated that 'bengal cats are for experienced cat owners only'.
I know they are active, but do they really require such extensive care?
I am definitely serious and doing my research on kitten care and about the bengal breed (3 books + 10 nights worth of web searching LOL), and I do intend to provide my kitty with the best, but I would still be a first timer afterall and lack hands-on experience. Would I be alright with a bengal?

I have had alot of successful first time kitten / cat owners have a bengal ktiten from me Then I have also turned alot of people off by being probably too truthful about them! But then thats a good thing as they can go for a breed they can handle instead of maybe just the look, which lets face it they are stunners!

I often say that if you want a child get a bengal its 24-7, and Id always say get 2 from the same litter, its actually a bit easier, at least they can ware each other out!

If you've never had a cat before then you'll never know the difference between a Bengal and another breed or moggie. I will never have another breed again. Bengals are far more entertaining and yes...get 2 or you'll constantly be trying to keep up with a Bengals high-energy level. My boys are sooo naughty! They tear up everything and make a mess of the house but I love them! I truly enjoy hearing them in my sleep just tearing through the house.

I would say go for it but be prepared. Bengals are a vocal breed, that also need entertaining.

My rori was at me 24/7, yowling whenever she was in a diff room to me, had to be in my bedroom at night, otherwise neighbors would complain of her noise. But then I rescued a kitten from a shelter and they get on like a house on fire. She still chatters away but not as much, she's not stuck to me and she is a lot more enjoyable to have around.

I would say bengals are not for people who are out 10hours a day, esp at a young age. They need focus, a bit like a puppy or they may start destroying house hold goods

Great idea Chances are you would end up wanting another anyway, bengals are addicting! If I were you I would get two from the same litter that way you don't have to worry about introducing them to each other and they will have one another to adjust into your home

yeah i would get 2 from the same litter or 2 from the same breeder. Saves you having to do the whole introduction process.
