Hi guys =). I am almost set on deciding that I want two kittens from Amantra Bengals in California. Does anyone here have any experience (or know someone who does) with them?

From what I've heard/read they are very reputable. They HCM/PK Def screen, and I believe they don't rehome until 12 weeks (any sooner is too early) and the kittens have been vaccinated/dewormed. They also have very gorgeous Bengals! I think you will be very happy with them.

Thank you! I am almost certain I'll go with them. It's about a four hour drive from my place though, so I can't hop over as easily to visit beforehand.

I just want things to go smoothly and I don't want to lose another cat (I am pretty sure my last one was due to HCM).

My post just below this one (Adopting A Bengal Part 2) talks about the pros and cons of various breeders I was considering in Southern California, Amantra among them. You can read what other members had to say, but the consensus is that she has beautiful cats and is very well-respected and reputable. Plus, for the price, your kitten comes microchipped, altered, with papers and up to date on vaccinations and de-worming. I chose not to visit because I found an equally great breeder closer to me, and I didn't want to drive the 2 1/2 hours to see Amantra (although I hear she will meet you half way if you are local). All in all, in my conversation with Janice I would have zero hesitation purchasing a kitten from her.

Tomorrowwww! I am beside myself with excitement! The last thing I need is encouragement. There will be plenty of photos to go around. I think this will even prompt me to finally get a new battery for my DSLR. Where are you located? Are you looking at the kittens she has available now, or thinking about waiting for a new litter?

I'm in San Diego. I'm considering the ones she currently has, yeah. But I'm kind of torn because I sort of want two boys... but I may go with a boy and a girl.
