YAY at last I have worn my fiance down
In my Christmas card this year he sneaked in a little piece of paper stating - "This is one voucher to be redeemed at any time for one cat of your choosing..." I literally jumped for joy at the thought of being able to get Fury a little brother.
I definitely want a male - however I'm still not sure which filial generation to go for. Fury is an F5 so is quite late generation but does exhibit extremely wild characteristics (which I definitely wouldn't change) but I'm curious on the early generation temperament from anyone who has experience of F2/F3's. Any info on behaviour, or if you feel they do act differently from the later generations, good and bad traits - if you've noticed any at all. Everything from their calls to their independence i.e. Fury is not a lap cat at all and hates faces being close to her (unless it's my OH or me). Are the early generations more solitary or do they like to sit next to you or on you?
Fury hasn't a clue about the meaning of 'soft paws' like I trained prior cats on. She's always teeth and nails lol. I've also heard males can exhibit some aggressive tendencies. Anyone experienced this? If so, what behavioural training or tips did you use or do you have?
Any info/comments will be useful in helping me make a more informed decision. So happy to expand our family at last!
