well i was wondering if it is anyway normal for a bengal to sit on the toilet??

well this was the third time i caught my acorn sitting on the toilet.....




and about and hour ago i caught her drinking from the toilet!!!!

and i know this is very bad as some of the cleaners used can be toxic...i will keep door shut at all times now ...;but i was wondering if anyone elses bengals do this???

I keep the lids on my toilets down... but I know EVERY SINGLE TIME I go to the bathroom and my bengal is in there, he'll try his best to try to jump up to stick his feet in the water while I'm rushing to close the lid to prevent that from happening. GROSS!

I have no idea why he is so fascinated.

My two are fascinated by the toilet, and the bath, especially my male cat, Horus, who jumped in the bath with me once and promptly jumped out again as soon as he realised it was warm bubbly water!!

I think the fascination with toilets is it looks like a great big fresh watering hole, which swirls around, just begging to be pawed, when the 'big people' go up there.

But my two are no longer allowed up there (too much hassle!)
I want to go to the bathroom in peace.

the wierd thing is acorn still hasnt ventured into gettiing right into the bath YET....she will come and see me (because i purposly leave the door open so she might venture in to the bath because i think she would enjoy it)and i will pat her with wet hands and she enjoys that . she will also put lil wee darling paws along the edge and peer into the bath and maybe put a poor in and then suddenly realize she put it in and pulls it out again.....

i ould enjoy it if she did like water because then i could give the wee darlingf baths when her fur gets really dirty...

well i gave acorn a bath.......she didnt act as bad as i thort she would but.........i wounldnt exactly say she liked it either........it was warmish and like 2cms deep[[at the most]]???any suggestions to make her enjoy it more???

i know its a bit off subject but oh well...

Breane, at least she shows interest in the water. My Leo will walk between the shower curtains, but runs when he feels the spritz on his face. LOL He used to play in his water bowl as a kit, but stopped after a while. I've been thinking of putting water in the tub to see what he and Bella do, if anything, but I never get around to it.

As for the toilet question, our two haven't been up ON the seat, but Leo will rush to join my husband when he goes in there... he said "one of these days, Leo is going to get a 'bath' if he doesn't watch it!" (and he didn't mean with water!) Apparently, Leo tried to stick his head in the bowl right when it was about to be used... LOL I couldn't stop laughing when he told me, so now he's got to keep Leo out when he goes in there. Twice Leo snuck in under my husband's feet without him noticing...and subsequently got left in the bathroom after my husband came out and closed the door. lol Poor Leo was so patient, we realized he was missing about 20 minutes later... walking around the house trying to find him...calling his name, we didn't hear a sound. Our LAST thought was "check the bathroom", and there he was, sitting on the sink, in the dark, ears up, just waiting for us. LOL I felt so bad, but couldn't help cracking up with laughter. He looked so funny and cute just sitting there waiting. He could have at least meowed, lilke "hey guys, you forget something in here?"
