Well, 2 weeks together now, and they are settling in a little better (still a ways to go, though). Leo isn't as much up-her-arse-24-7, he does give her a little more space now. I think he is showing a little jealousy, but I'm not sure. When she comes downstairs to greet us or seek attention, he will watch her, and slowly start approaching. I try to pet him as well, show him the same attention, but he slinks away from my hand without taking his eyes off Bella. He'll eventually start to play fight her, and chase her upstairs and under the bed.
I have to admit though, their play sessions aren't AS bad. There are more times they play nice than nasty, but Leo still has his moments where he gets carried away. A few nights ago, they were tumbling under the bed without making so much as a whine or hiss (but on the other hand, their thumping around was loud enough to wake the dead! I'm surprised neither of them have gotten knocked unconscious, the way they run and tumble into doors, walls, and other objects
) But other times, he just antagonizes her by biting her toes and legs, and she just HOLLERS away at him. lol He'll just pounce on her back, and proceed to "chew" on her. Of course, he's so much heavier, so she gets mad that she can't turn around to give it back to him.
One thing I notice he does... when he cleans her, he only does it for a few seconds and then jumps on and starts biting her. It's almost like he uses it as a way to get near her, and then "SIC! Fooled you!" kind of thing... I don't understand why he just can't be nice to her when she's resting. lol It's very similar to what he'd do to me, before we got Bella. He'd lick my hand a couple times, and then CHOMP, out come the teeth and claws, and he's wrestling my whole arm.
