Hi Y'all,
I rescued a skinny, starving Bengal several mos. ago. and, after taking her to the vet to verify health, etc., brought her into my home with my 2 other cats. I kept her separated, did all the things I'm supposed to do when introducing a new cat, and she has gone from a shy, scared kitty, to VERY aggressive toward my other two. (one is a female about her age...2 1/2 according to the vet, the other is a 14 yr. old male-all fixed) She parks in my chair every minute and will not let the other two get near me. She does pounce onto the floor in an aggressive manner, then jumps right back up. She is always the one to start the growling and nasty behavior. I'm at my wits end. I would hate to have to find another home for her, since she was so traumatized when I found her. (I'm wondering if this behavior is what landed her on the street to begin with) She is the most loving, sweet animal toward humans, but terrible with my other cats. (fortunately, she doesn't go upstairs, so I do have peace with my other 2 at night!)
We did check various lost and found boards, as well as the paper, and found nothing. She was already spayed, so I had my vet scan her for a chip....nothing.
Does anybody have any ideas on what to do? I'd really hate to put her through the trauma of getting used to another home, but she can't be an only cat in mine. I'd appreciate any input from those of you who know Bengals much better than I do!
Thanks in advance!
