hi all just a quickie
any one ever had OCD in your cat?
one of mine is excessivly grooming to the point of virtually no fur on her spine by the base of her tail about 2" square and she is now doing the same on her front paws.
she has no fleas mites mange hot spots ticks etc( i think i have covered all of them horrible things!! )
she is not timid not backward in coming forward etc
she is loving to the point of OTT
she is growing normally
i am a multi cat household all the others are fine-she is not being picked on or bullied by the others in fact the complete opposite.
no routines have been changed at all.inc food and her sister is completely fine.
she has always been OTT since she was a baby in a loving way. you couldnt want a happier cat.
the vet wants to put her on valium or another type of med but i dont want her monged out all the time.
she is constantly active, never bored and if anything she is the most spoilt baby!
any views advice will be greatly appreciated as there is not much on the net re this!

I had a cat that obsessively groomed the fur on the back of her back legs and her lower abdomen until it was bare.
She was diagnosed diabetic with blood tests which showed her glucose was abnormally high. Has your cat had blood tests?
