Can anyone recommend a good harness for my Bengal please? There is so many on the market I don’t know which to chose. I would like one with a long lead. I’m based in the UK. Many thanks

I've read lots of good reviews about mynwood walking jackets, they are made to measure and the lady who makes them owns bengals so she knows what escape artists they can be and makes them extra secure

I use Mynwood cat jackets. We now have quite a selection.
I use a 16' retractable lead with it. This combination seems to work well.
Just make certain the jacket is on snugly or the cat can back out of it.

Cheers!

The walking jackets are great, but many cats do not like the extra fabric that goes around them. I use a Figure H harness that has two clasps -- one at the neck and one on the back. The clip for the leash is on the back one to eliminate any pressure on the neck. I use a 10' retractable lead. The longer the lead, the more it can get wrapped around all the shrubs your kitty is walk around. We get tangled up enough with just the 10' lead. If you get a longer retractable one, you have a "brake" that will allow you to lock the lead at a certain length. I do not recommend a Figure 8 harness which has one clasp at the neck.

I use the H shaped harness above too. Bryan only gets to walk around our backyard though, thankfullly it's big enough to give him a little variety. We live on a main road with too many other users on the footpath, so I didn't want to risk him coming face to face with a large dog or excited child on a scooter.

Long story short, I've never had any dramas with the H harness, but never had him freak out so don't know if he could get out of it if he gave it a really good go.
Plus it's a bit hot here in Summer and he wouldn't like the jacket I suspect.

My Raiden has escaped from the H harness. You have to have it tight. You should be able to put a finger underneath the straps. Raiden lost 2 pounds and I didn't adjust the straps, so when he saw the UPS truck and driver, he literally tore out of it and I spent an hour trying to find him. When I did find him, he was attacking another cat.

I use the come with me kitty harness.. It is supposed to put pressure on their chest not neck and seems too. It stays on and it adjustable but my kitties are not escape artists. I also have the jacket types and one of my Bengals doesn't like it and goes stiff.
