Any good DIY toys which have been a hit with your bengals? Mine loves toilet roles (what cat doesn’t) and egg boxes. I’ve also cut holes in an old tupaware box any hide food inside which she plays with when bored. Want to give her different things when I’m out the house so it keeps her occupied. Any tips/ideas would be appreciated.

Those long red straws that you get from 7-11. A friend of mine made my cats these little knitted/braided wool strands that they love to chase (especially Neytiri). And then, like you say, rolls of paper towels. Serafina was tearing one of those up yesterday. I caughter her just in time to salvage it, but each towel you tear off has holes in it now

Mine aren't into DIY toys. Raiden isn't into any catnip toys. Only the wand end of any toy and a cat dancer. It is frustrating to say the least. Lots of cat toys and he just looks at them. I remember when I was a child, we had a cat who loved the large empty thread spools. My mom sewed a lot, so we had a lot of them and he would just roll them all over the floor. Naturally, they would get under the furniture and we'd find several of them when my mom decided to rearrange. While many cats like the empty paper towel and toilet paper rolls, many prefer them with the paper towels and toilet paper still on them!

Rubber shoes. Crocs.

I have a pair that are heavily perforated. He gets so much satisfaction out of squeaking and chomping on those shoes, I figure that they should just be considered toys.

Maybe find some on sale or at a garage sale. Size and color are unimportant!

Empty paper towel rolls
bright shoelaces ( yellow for example ) but these are interactive toys and shouldn't be left out ( so have first aid ready for when they figure out it's easier to get it from you if they just go for the part you are holding ).
Socks ( with or without feet in them ). I swear she has found every missing sock in the house. I just throw one at her and it's a good 15 minutes of entertainment. With feet in them, playtime is usually cut short.
newspaper ( hold one piece flat and put the other under so just a corner is peeking out then move it ).

Those are just some household items that I've found are good toys.
