I'm living in Istanbul and I started to fall in love with this cat in the garden. I thought he was so beautiful and he loves people. Long story shot, I've started letting him in my house little by little over the past couple of months. He has food, water, a litter box, toys, and a name (Otto-- short for Ottoman, get it? ). It's safe to say that he's my cat now. He enjoys being with people and follows me around the house and always wants to sit beside me if I'm working on the computer. I am leaving in about a year and will take him back to the US with me when I attend grad school. I love him, no matter what kind of cat he is, he's with me to stay. The more I read about bengals though, the more I think he is one. He has this strange marbling, he looks like he's wearing eyeliner, back paw pads with webbed feet, a strangely shaped face, a thick tail that tapers, and a strong body. Could my baby be part bengal? Full bengal? Or is he just an odd looking tabby? (Also, my boyfriend who is typically allergic to cats doesn't have much of a reaction to him.) Pictures are attached below, thanks in advance.

What a beautiful marbled baby. There are gorgeous marbled tabbies out there. Going by the pictures, I'm not seeing a tapered tail, although it is ringed. The back paws are shaped more like my moggie than my bengal. It is never 100% easy to tell from photos. The one thing you do not want to do is to put down you are bringing a bengal into the US as you would need official papers and a pedigree to do so. At any rate, this cat is just gorgeous. Make sure he is neutered and vaccinated. And congratulations.

The poor dear doesn't know yet, but he's going in for the snip in 2 weeks! My vet friend has him penciled in.
All I'm telling customs is that I've got a cat ;)
Shouldn't the tail be very thick at the base and thinner at the top?
Either way, he's a good boy and hasn't been upsetting allergies, so he's here to stay.

The typical bengal tail is very tapered at the top! The pelt is silky soft and may even have glitter. Good for you in getting him neutered. Most bengals who are wandering the streets got away from a breeding situation somehow.
