An extra Webbox for Jagger for being a little angel(ish). I've never had my glasses stolen, but perhaps knocked off my face. Ada recently thinks it is fun to dive-bomb her human from the top of the bookcase when he is paying too much attention to his laptop. She landed on my finger the other day - claw straight into it, it was dripping blood.

Got to go, working from home and about to get Babbaged.

Yes, I definitely have pet insurance. I got my 3 signed up within their first week with me. Sounds like you've already made your choice, but Healthy Paws is a great insurance company for pets.

Yes I have pet insurance, wouldn't be without it.

Hendrix rolled off our hall units when he was a kitten and they are very close to the ceiling... Probably not as high as your stair railings but it frightened me to death as well. He rolled off and bounced onto the play tunnel so I guess his fall was broken. He was fine though.

Look for the signs Brian has told you. If in doubt take him to the vet. I think if he's hurt himself you'll know fairly quickly. Hendrix fractured his paw within weeks of coming to us. Jagger thought it would be a laugh to ambush him at the cat flap from the conservatory into the kitchen. Bashed the flap down on hendrix's paw as he was coming through it. This was Christmas Day as well. He was very quiet all day and the next day he couldn't weight bear at all. So emergency vet on Boxing Day.

Hendrix has also fallen off a garage roof after dangling from the guttering. Again, he was a bit shocked but half an hour later was zooming around! In fact this week he was dangling from the guttering again, but managed to pull himself back up onto the roof. I think he's just accident prone.

God knows how many of his nine lives he's used up!

Pet insurance with all the trimmings including visits to the vet whenever. As new parents we have used this several times, the most concerning was a slightly broken nail #rollseyesmuchly#

They have fallen behind fridge and sundries - nothing like your little Miko though! - but we now believe that they are made of chewing gum... Or so I hope.

Pet insurance is ace though. If you can afford the most extensive cover... We are about to use it for cat behaviourist as we do have a situation beyond the broken nail...

Thanks for the message you guys. Miko has been eating voraciously and although he took a long cat nap after lunch, I gave him some tender loving and he came out for his usual after-nap play session. Played just as usual, then he went up to nibble on some dry food, and I checked him out fully again, no bumps, or swelling or pain. He seems to be doing okay, fingers crossed. Will keep a good eye out still!

In Canada, I dont think I can use Healthy Paws. But I have gone with a company called TruPanion and although I have chosen the cheaper of the monthly premium, they will cover 90% of all costs for any illness or injury. They have a pretty high deductible per injury/illness but it's what fit best for me and my mum right now. Will probably upgrade in the near future.

I am so glad my Raiden is a calm, collected bengal. His main thing is opening all the doors that open inward as they are lever handles. I have one bathroom he just HAS to get into. My life with a bengal is fairly boring! So I really enjoy reading all that you are going through -- and smiling and thankful that it's not me!!!

Matt, I'm sure Miko is fine! Glad you found some dry food that he will eat.

Oh my gosh, Matt. You had no idea what you were in for in asking for the kitten with the biggest personality! Miko will be a handful -- but in a good way! I got my Raiden when he was six years old, so he was already set in his ways and I know his previous owner did not play with him and Raiden was an outdoor cat. So, his human interaction was not great. Thankfully, his personality is pretty calm.

Hopefully Miko is running around like normal today and the fall did not cause any injury.

That is one of great things of my 2 - they run around like total nutters, then are the most cuddly cats that I know of. That isn't the same for all bengals, so you got lucky with Miko.
