I am looking for the best interactive toys for my sweet Xerxes, a 10 week old Bengal. I have read a few topics seeing the catit sensory toys seem to be a hit. Our problem with most of those toys is he will not eat hard food or treats. He has a crazy circle (the ball in a circle track with a scratch pad) that he loves. Any help is appreciated!

For self-play:
Kicker toys (infused with either catnip or valerian) are good. Preferably big kickers that approximate the size of another cat. Happy house cats used to be a great place to buy these, but they seemed to have stopped selling them. Check Etsy. I just ordered some and will report on them when they come.

The catit senses toys are also good for self-play.

For interactive toys:
Get the "flying frenzy" wands (they are the best), and then you can mix and match any dabird/damouse, flying frenzy, and neko flies attachments which will work with those wands. The dabird wands suck, and the neko fly wands are even worse.

Thanks! I am really hoping he starts eating hard food so the catit centers will be worth buying. Poor guy has/had TF, tomorrow is his last night of meds, YAY!!!! Meaning he is a little delayed on his eating behaviors.

The catit 2.0 system looks pretty awesome, I might have to look into that.

I am like you, a new owner (mines coming in a few days), but for me, I have just gotten a big variety of different toys- that way I can figure out which ones are his favorites, and put away the rest. Maybe he'll grow to like the other ones later on.

So far I have:
- climbing trees
- little balls of various sizes - some that have bells inside, some that are smaller, some that are bigger, some are scrunchy, some are hard, etc.
- wand with string/feather (Da Bird) and also bought one from Petsmart.
- Petstages 3 tier Tower of Tracks (breeder said he really enjoyed this one)
- that blue "Ball on a track" toy, with a scratching pad in the middle
- sisal scratching post with a string/feather hanging at the top
- Kong Kickeroo
- The Cat Ball
- cardboard boxes (with/without holes)
- scrunched up pieces of paper
- toilet paper rolls

I probably got way too many LOL but as long as he likes some of them, I'll be happy.

When Quasar was itsy he enjoyed those crinkly, shiny balls. He played fetch with them. Problem is, our Samoyed dog would pick them up and eat them, so we stopped using them.
He does enjoy a straw, especially if he gets to pick it out of your drink cup. The dog is less inclined to consume these.
We bought 2 of those track ball sets and joined them all together into one huge track. Quasar likes to play with it, especially when hubby plays along with him. Sometimes I think hubby enjoys it more than Quasar.

Most cats love wand toys. Unfortunately, my bengal is totally different. His favorite toy is his cat wheel. He hops on it a couple times a day. When it comes to toys, he likes the cat dancer and the end of the wand of Da Bird. He won't chase Da Bird, but swish the wand end around and he chases it like crazy. He has catnip mice, foil balls, interactive track toys. He does have a couple of kicker toys he will wrestle with, but he is obviously not like your typical bengal. Your cat may be completely different as well. We have a basket full of toys that Raiden will not touch! Actually two baskets full. Lots of wand toys but he's not interested, although the Neko Dragonfly toy was somewhat interesting to him the other night.

Mine is really lazy except about 2 hours a day. If he can find someone to cuddle with he is happy. We have balls will bells, puffy balls, a ball with feathers and chirps like a bird, wand with feathers and a track with a ball in it. His choice toys are the ball in track, a piece of packing paper that he claimed at Christmas time, and hair ties...the last 3 being his favorite. We are looking into different cat climbers but not finding it very easy.

Cat springs and a cardboard box keep my cats happy for hours and hours.

Just the simplest of toys can make a cat happy! A cardboard box with small openings that you can push a catnip mouse back and forth through. I've spent hundreds of dollars on toys for Raiden and he is just not into but a couple of them.

I want to get him a cat wheel but that is a big investment for him to snub!
