Last night, whilst Ada was seemingly snoozing happily on my lap she, without any warning, jumped up, span round, span round in the opposite direction and jumped about 5 feet landing on the floor. All in less time than it took to read the previous sentence. She then sat upright, ears back looking fairly puzzled about the whole thing before wandering off to sleep on her swing.
She has done this on occasion before - always when sleeping on my lap and it is weird how she goes from sleeping to flying in the blink of an eye. The only thing I could think of is that she had some sort of nightmare - has anyone seen the same behaviour in their cats ?
