My 3 month old Bengal/Siamese does some strange stuff with his litter box. I change it once a day, sifting out all the clumps etc. I add some new stuff to it and put it back in its spot. He then goes in it and just digs like crazy, back all humped up and then runs out of it at full blast, sometimes right into the wall head first! I have no history on him as he was a stray that was given to me. Obviously was litter box trained, as soon as I put some sane in it he was right there doing his thing. The next day I switched him to cat litter. Any help is greatly appreciated. A very active kitten this one. Here is a picture of him cat napping.

We have a moggie that does that right after he poops. If you see an orange streak running through the house you know he's just done his business

It may simply be you changed him to litter before he was ready.. Some cats have a preference over what they do their business in, and he may have needed 'weaning' across to a different texture.
My boy uses compressed wood pellet, and screams at me if it's not cleaned quickly enough after a poop. (About 10 seconds, if I'm home!)
