Does anyone else's Bengal have an attraction to toys of certain colours? I am aware cats can only see shades and not colours but Griffith has an obsession with anything that happens to be green.

He will always pull the green toys out of the cat toy box, especially the green catnip mice, there are blue,yellow, pink and green ones all exactly the same and yet he's obsessed with the two green ones. He carries them around, sleeps with them and gets very annoyed if Arya tries to play with them but she can play with any of the other colours. I did wonder if it was the smell on those particular ones so when I ordered some new ones and put them on the floor straight away he went and picked up the green one and put it with his others.

He even had to take it in with him to be neutered as it's the only thing that would stop him crying in the cat basket, even the vet nurses commented on how he wouldn't part with his mouse once he woke up, they all found it adorable how possessive he was of it lol.

He also had a thing for preferring when I used the green mat to feed him as he always goes to the bowl on the green mat first even if change which side of the room it's on.

Is Griffith just very strange?
Is anyone else's Bengal obsessed with a certain colour of toy? Or even just a certain shade/colour?

All I see is green in your pictures. LOL. Must be a favorite color of yours!

HAHA more a fan of teal and turquoise than straight green althouht I couldn't find a turquoise vet fleece for the floor as it tends to act like a crash mat for them, I have found several of the larger catit toys are in green only though . It's just strange with him and the mice as he does have other colours he just won't touch them only the green ones.

I have two identical toys with different color, Mercury definitely is more interest in the pink one than the blue. He also more likely to lay down on a orange mat than the green one. I guess he is more fond of warn color.

They claim cats cannot see in color, but even with b/w vision, there are shades --light or dark and I think that's what attracts them.
