It's probably hormones from being in heat. Female cats will go into heat more frequently when it's warm outside as that is "breeding season". She may see the other kittens as a threat now and think she needs to chase them off her territory.
The best thing to do is to get them all fixed as soon as possible. Maybe you can find a vet that will work with you on the cost if you do them all at once - or find an organization that can help? I know our vet does a low cost spay/neuter day once a month and some of our local rescue organizations will hold low cost spay/neuter clinics to help people who can't afford it. It's worth checking around your area.
