I just want to share something that I've caught Babbage doing a few times recently and it cracks me up.
My 2 are put into their own room at night - so called Night-nights time. I generally use brains rather than speed and quietly go around my apartment closing off doors very nonchalantly, seemingly at random until I have them confined to their room and the hallway. From there it is easy(ish) to pick up Babbage, put him in his room and then start the "I ain't gonna have no stinking Night-nights" chasy game with Ada.
So I went to pick Babbage up last night and he got away from me, born to run as he was .... straight onto the cat wheel
this was a cat gently determined that he wasn't going to bed and he ran , looked - I was right behind him! - ran some more, looked round some more, couldn't work out why he couldn't easily outpace a human who was laughing away. It was almost as if the human could keep up with him standing still ?!?
Better run some more then.
He was quiet crestfallen when I stooped down, scooped him up and carried him off to bed.
