yesterday Ringo started to drag his bum on the floor and he's done it again once this morning. He was wormed 2 weeks ago but has just come off raw food and now on Royal Canin Kitten wet and dry food. i am taking him to the vets this afternoon to see what they have to say.

Sometimes that is a sign the anal glands need to be expressed! Or, it may be worms, even though you say he has been dewormed. Regardless, his rear end itches and that's his way of scratching. Your vet will know exactly what is going on with your kitty! I don't believe this is a food related.

We've just seen the vet. He said Ringo is very healthy and doesn't have any signs of worms or gland problems but because he was on raw food he's given Ringo a tablet to cover tape worm. He said he didn't know why Ringo was dragging his bum on the floor but the tablet will rule out worms for sure.

I'm happy now that Ringo has been seen by the vet - for my peace of mind and all that...

Sometimes everything is negative, but a bit a medicine make the problem go away.

Obviously there was an itch that the back leg couldn't get to! What do we do when ours itch back there? Hope any meds take care of the situation and always happy to hear that a vet has been consulted.
