WE HAD A BENGAL GIVEN TO US WE HAD A PEEING PROBLEM IN THE BEGINING BUT IT STOPPED I BUILD AN OVER HEAD RUN WAY FOR OUR BENGAL TO GIVE HER A PLACE TO GET AWAY FROM OUR TOM TABBY THAT WAS BULLING HER THE PEEING STOP.MY WIFE SHOWED THE TOM HOW TO GET UP THE RUN WAY AND NOW WE ARE HAVEING A PEEING PROBLEM AGAIN IT HAS TO STOP OR MY WIFE WILL PUT THE TOM TO SLEEP I HAVE A WEEK TO FIND AN ANSWER PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME ETHER TO SLOVE THE PROLBEM OR TO GIVE OUR BENGAL A GOOD HOME I HAVE A WEEK TO SHOW I'm DOING SOMETHING OR THE TOM WILL BE PUT DOWN.i NEED HELP AND I NEED IT NOW.

You brought a new cat into the house which resulted in inappropriate peeing and your solution is to destroy your first pet? Cats may not have compassion or a sense of right and wrong, but people are supposed to. Don't you care about the resident cat at all? A vet will not destroy a healthy cat because of errors in judgement the human makes.

You also need to find the caps lock key...badly.

that is how my wife wants to handle it I has turned into a huge fight and she is being very unreasonable about it I REFUSE to let her do that I need help and I need it now I want to keep everyone but she is dead set on ether putting down our Tom or getting rid of our Bengal my life is hell right now I need help an I don't know where to turn to get it.

well after a HUGE argument we have reached a truce for now so nobody is going any where right now but I need a cat whisper near Lancaster Pa to help me solve this problem.any help would be a great right now.

So sorry you are having this problem. Forgive me if I'm stating the obvious but do both cats have a cat tree each and at least 3 litter trays between them? If the tom is bullying then you need to build up your bengal's confidence. Try feeding them near each other and playing with them together in the same room. Such a shame your wife introduced the tom to the walkway They both need areas they can call their own without the need to fight over them. Multiple trees and territory. Can you build walkways with no dead ends so the bengal can always get away if the tom feels like bullying her? She needs to feel confident and the peeing will stop as your saw earlier when only the bengal had the walkway. Feliway plug ins also help.

I feel for both cats. Poor tom who had the house to himself and poor bengal who is the unwanted guest. Were they introduced properly at the beginning? If not, it may help to go back to square one and introduce again to try and get them to tolerate each other without bullying. If you can't get it to work then maybe the bengal would be happier in a home with no other pets. It's unthinkable to even contemplate putting the tom down who is just defending his territory. People seem to humanise animals and think a bullying cat is' evil' or ' mean'. The cat is just doing what instinct tells him to - it's nature unfortunately. 'Might makes right' and all that

I feel badly for both of your kitties! Your tom cat is behaving normally. Has he been neutered?? I'm going to suggest you check out Jackson Galaxys Spirit Essences http://www.spiritessences.com . He has a product for bulling and products for other behavior. Your bengal is completely STRESSED out over the bullying. Can you blame her? I don't think the solution is to rehome or euthanize your tom cat that you've had for years. You obviously did not introduce them properly in the beginning by separating the bengal in a "safe room" and doing swap scents for several days.

I am happy to hear there has been a truce, but the inappropriate peeing is not going to stop. You can thank your wife for showing the tom cat how to get into the cat run. You definitely should have a cat tree for your bengal, and 3 litter boxes. You may need to catify your home a little more, too! A cat whisperer is probably not going to help. I'd also buy some Feliway plugs and use them in the rooms the cats use. I honestly don't blame the female. She's feeling the stress you're feeling as well. I think she's overwhelmed. The cat run was HER place. I'd give it back to her and do something else for your tom cat. You should also be engaging the kitties in lots of play time. Bengals are very social and need the interaction with humans. Your tom cat may not. You cannot just let the cats try to sort things out. It won't happen! Intervene and follow our suggestions and things should improve.

I have gotten my wife to try and help me keeping the tom off the walk ways which aren't finished yet at 60 I can't work at the level I use to.we now keep the tom in a room by himself when we sleep or are a way so he can't hassle rocky any more when we can stop it right a way I have a couple of books coming to help me understand how cats think so I'm working on it.you have to understand I was in a deep depression cause of a failed knee surgery when rocky came into our life I spend many hours bringing her out of her shell and she showed me how to laugh and smile again so it's going to be a cold day I let my wife do anything to her or to our tom sad thing she doesn't even think it was wrong to put the tom on the run way an start these problem .so will keep everyone up dated.
