My cat Simba keeps opening the bottom cupboard doors in my kitchen, no food is kept in any of them, he seems to be fascinated by them. Has anyone on here had the same problem and what did you do to solve the problem as I don't really want to put locks on all of them.

Welcome to the world of bengal cats! This is extremely common. They are into everything, just like young children. You are not going to be able to stop this behavior. The more you try, the more determined your baby will be to get into the cabinets. Just make sure there is nothing in there that could harm the kitty in any way. Childproof locks are the best thing -- but if you don't want to do that, then you will have to deal with your kitty opening the doors.

Yes, they get into the bottom drawers (jump around the clothes, make sure nothing is ironed anymore, if there are tights they also need sorting). Have lost no kittens behind chest of drawers yet...

They also get into kitchen's bottom cupboard and play among pans and pots - freaking themselves in the process with the noise, so can only entice them out with food.
Good news is...

They will son start getting into the top cupboards! We have had to entice cat out of salad bowl several times. And if you have plates in there as we do, it is no fun trying to get a cat out of there as they grab anything so as not to be removed (in our case a pile of plates, yay)

option a) enjoy the fun and lock the china somewhere else
option b) get some of those thingummys that people with small children have, some sort of plastic catches that lock doors from the inside so that they can only open doors a couple of centimetres.

Mine does not open any cabinet doors, however, if we leave our closet doors open just slightly, Raiden will put his paw under it and open it to get in. There isn't anything there for him so he always comes right back out.

Mine were terrible for this in my old place. I resorted to tying string around the handles which I cut and then replaced each time I went in there....gradually over time I learned to live without the contents! I also used to put a broom through the handles of my top cupboards as well so that they couldnt get in there. I caught Spider seconds away from pawing a glass from the top shelf onto the worktop so I had to up my security! The handleless-ness of my new kitchen was a factor in why I took this apartment

Lol! My old moggie used to open the cupboard under the sink, climb in, shut the door behind her and go to sleep! We were hunting for ages one night, and she was happily snoozing ..... After that, it was the first place we looked.

My little Bengal monster loves to open the refrigerator door. And has even opened the freezer door a few times. Strange that he didn't take anything out! Maybe he just wanted to show me that he could do it? Duct tape is on both doors now...

Hunter also loves to open the cabinet doors and drawers. Can't seem to stop that. I can't put duct tap on everything!

P.S. The duct tape is a leopard print! I couldn't resist it.

Oscar pulls the kick boards off from under the kitchen units. If I had a pound for everytime I have put them back on...............

Jagger is a devil for the kick boards in the kitchen too!

We've also had to replace a window handle in the conservatory that was a bit dodgy as he would try to open it if he wanted to go out - he can't get to the cat flap once I've locked them in for the night as I barricade it now to stop him dismantling it. So he goes for the window instead.

Too smart for their own good these bengals!
