Crazy 30 minutes

Is it normal for your bengal to go absolutely mental for certain parts of the day? Like most weekends, today leo slept on my lap most of the day, we played fetch, he chased the feather toy and a few other games for an hour or so. He had attention most of the day. Then, like usual he just goes off his nut for 30 minutes. He will "trill" (weird kind of chitter chatter meow), meow spin and chase his tail, jump up and down, sprint from one from one room to the other jumping up and down, he will sprint up his cat tree, meow more. It's almost like he has pent up energy he doesn't know how to expend so he bounces off the walls and makes a massive racket. Just really crazy and not anything like he normally behaves 99% of the day. The thing is I feel like I give him more than enough attention. Sometimes he will then go straight to the litter box, have a poo and settle down. Is this just normal bengal/kitten behaviour?

This is also known as the crazies, my 2 do this alot, Pearl My 8 month old goes totally nuts, up the nets, jumps up at the walls, she runs up and down the stairs knocking over anything in her way.
magic my 4 year old boy does this mainly after he has had a poo, he goes totally crazy.
And the whole time they are shouting loudly.

Bengals are total nut cases, but so lovable.

Oh yeah ... bengals go crazy! Mine will go flying over furniture to the point that I swear he is going to hurt himself.

My lump is 16 and still does this on a regular basis - Often just after I have got into bed, and the duvet is fair game! He has a floor to ceiling climber and regularly leaps up that and then down again before charging up / down the stairs. Occasionally he removes the cat flap - flap, coming in and out at 100 miles an hour! (only a very slight exaggeration there) :wink1:

My kitten is 5 month old, he goes crazy at times and bites. Then he has these loving moments.
Tried everything with the biting habit. He still goes for it full force!
I think he's trying to force me to play with him...hehe.

It is easy to post a picture of your baby. You can upload a picture with your post. Scroll down to the "Upload attachment" green bar under the "preview," 'submit," "save draft," etc.

Choose the picture from your computer and click "add the file. It needs to be 256k or smaller to upload. The other thing you can do is host the pictures on Photo Bucket or some other photo storing program that you have made public and just post a direct link. More instructions are in the Gallery section of this forum.

My girl Mina was still having her mad zoomies into old age, she would often hide in bushes when we where in the garden jump out smack me with her paw (claws always in) puff up her tail and run away and she would keep doing it until I chased her, I saw it as she wanted to play tag lol. She also used to hide behind doors and do it in the house especially with my mums retrievers, they regularly where zooming around the house together.

What I found stopped her using her claws, as when she was tiny she would attack my feet when I was asleep to wake me up to play, is say Ahhh really loud and sharp or make some other type of sharp loud sound which is scary. She learnt not to do it and she also learnt I wouldn't play with her if she used her claws. Bengals are rediculously intelligent and will learn very quickly not to do something if you don't go along with them being naughty, that said if you are too lenient on them or do what they want and reward the bad behaviour with a game they will keep doing it.

Also I agree with what others said if you do want to play with him make sure you use toys not fingers or toes as they will learn to attack those for a game otherwise.
