I literally mean a ball of craziness and energy beyond comprehension. Particularly at night time. I admit I'm in canada so he cannot get much physical activity in outside just yet although spring is in the air and I plan on lead training to take him for walks. Is it normal to act this way. He is very rough when he plays as well and hurts me at times. I love him to bits but lord he's busy lol any tips suggestions experiences or input greatly accepted!!

I have never had a kitten but most members on the forum say they look like severe self harmers for the first six months of their kitten's lives. Bengals do play rough but make sure he plays rough with toys and not your flesh!

How old is he? My two little darlings were off the charts crazy until about 8 months old then they stopped being so irrational and became more considerate of me and my scratch ridden flesh. Now they are almost 2 years old and amazing pets, but still active. I have not had to trim their nails in 4 or 5 months and I am scratch free. They seem more considerate towards me, or mature.

He's 4 months old right now the little nut job lol I regularly have to trim his nails too for the scratching me and we'll anything glad to hear yours settled praying my situation is the same lol

Oh yeah, I adopted mine at 4 months and those first couple of months were so challenging for me. One would chew electrical cords, the other climbed and tore my drapes. They would team up against me when I tried to get them back in the house, or out of the refrigerator or when I tried to eat. They also played very rough with each other. They couldn't get enough food in their mouths, they were always hungry. They would climb up my body like I was a tree and scratch me constantly. It very slowly got better, those first two months were the worst. I spent all my spare time with them, I guess I still do, lol. They pretty much entertain themselves now but they love to follow me around and watch me. It definitely helps having two. Tonight they are racing around chasing each other like wild animals.

OMG you've hit the nail on the head I thought he was just odd everytime I open the fridge he is in it, everytime I bathe he's in it, everytime I flush the toilet he's in it, he is always trying to et whatever falls in the floor from the kids or jumping in the plates I thought he was just a nut job lol

Oh I forgot about the bathtub/shower. Every time I took a bath they were on the edge of the tub playing with the bubbles and "accidentally" falling in with me! I would pull them out in a panic that they would be frightened but they didn't seem to mind at all. I would take a shower and they would appear on the ledge inside the shower! Blondie still waits outside the shower for a sponge bath in the morning. She doesn't try to get away and seems to like it. My last cat never went in the bathroom or kitchen because there was water in there.

Grace still tries to flip my dinner plate. They can be so aggressive about food. I was not used to that either.

Sounds like you've got a perfectly normal bengal kitten! They love to follow you around and get into everything. This is just what a bengal does. Highly energetic is how they are described. They need a LOT of playtime. They love interaction with their humans. They do not sleep 20 hours a day curled up in a corner and only come out to eat. You adopted a BENGAL. Congratulations!!!!!

They sure are not like other cats ;) love him to bits though!! :) he fits in just perfectly with my little zoo of wild children

2 days after we brought Spice home she jumped down the toilet while hubby was having a wee! So we had to pin her down and wash her in the sink. Will never forget hubby running in saying 'the Cat jumped in the toilet and is covered in wee' while she was wrapped in a towel looking like a drowned rat!

I'm happy Raiden isn't interested in toilets! I keep the lids closed when they are not in use.

I have mastered the stand up and put the lid down in one swift motion. They are usually behind or along side waiting to investigate, little weirdos.

Well, Bengals are crazy cats! And yes, it is normal. Several times a day, mine will go CRAZY. My boy especially. He will run loops around the living room, leap up to the top of the cat tree, jump down, run around the living room, jump up the cat tree again x 20. While he is doing this, he meows crazily. It’s just what they do. One day it was really annoying me as I was trying to get some work done and he wouldn’t stop. So I stopped what I was doing, got out my Da Bird, and played with him for a good 20 minutes. After this, he was so tired that he quietly went to sleep for the rest of the day.

You just need to make sure that he is getting plenty of stimulation. How often are you playing with him? It’s easy to complain about our cats being loud and annoying and crazy, but it’s also easy to fix. A simple play time is all it usually takes to calm them down.
