We have two bengal kittens, brother and sister, 5.5 months old, both just been done, since then our little girl started peeing on the bed, we went out and brought new duvet, plus sheets and covers. But first night was ok no problems, 2nd night poor hubby woke up at 4am with wet bed, we also have another female cat, who we rescued 3yrs ago, we have 5 cat trees, 4 litter trays, we have caught our little baby bengal peeing on bed, but we still not sure who started if it was our old female and now our baby girl is doing this, as territory marking, we not really sure, but our older cat has never peed on bed before, (by the way she is cross bengal/Egyptian meu, and about 5yrs old, apart from now shutting them all out of the bedroom, we really could do with help and advise, we have been mopping the areas up and treating with white vinegar and water mixture, then washing the bedding, but this does not seem to have worked, also our boy bengal poos and pees by the front door, we def think that is territorial as we use to have a male bengal before who we sadly lost. Maybe this could be related, but we are not sure at this point, we have had our 2 kittens for just over 1mt everything was fine, but this last week is nightmare lol.

Thanks in advance

I think you first take the problem kitty to the vet to make sure there isn't a urinary tract infection or crystals that could be causing the problem. If there is nothing medically wrong, then it's probably stress related. Improper litter box habits tend to be in multi-cat households. Something is going on. You have enough litter boxes and cat trees, however, this little gal has decided to mark some other territory! I'm hoping that they find something wrong so you can at least treat the issue because when it becomes behavioral, it's very difficult to change. In many cases, you need to close off the area (meaning your bedroom) to the kitty! Or, you can add a litter box in the bedroom and see if that helps and she will use that. You need to start "thinking" like a cat and not a cat owner. Watch for other signs in the kitty. Is she having a problem with one of your other kitties? Is she being bullied, attacked? Inappropriate peeing is the WORST problem ever because the smell is so intense and it is difficult to remove it completely, especially when it comes to bedding and mattresses! As long as the scent is there, the cat will want to come back. Know that kitties prefer a litter box -- so keeping them spotlessly clean at all times is super important. Good luck.

When we've had similar issues with kittens in the past, we added a litter box in the bedroom and the problem was instantly solved. Sometimes I think a kitten is scared to go wandering around the house when you are sleeping at night! We kept the letterbox in our room until the kittens were almost a year old. Then slowly moved it close to another box before removing it entirely.

Thanks for all replies, the strange thing is that both kittens where in our bedroom for a mth with their own litter tray, without any problems, it started when our old cat came into our bedroom 1 day, and she peed on the bed, since that day, our little kitten did the same thing in the same place, our little kitten has been vet checked twice since her spay op, and all is ok, what we did in the end was shut them all out of the bedroom, moved the cat trees into our hall way, as its a very large hall, 15ft x 8ft wide, the bathroom and kitchen both run off the hall so they have access to both these rooms all night, for toilet and food/water. Since then no problems, no fighting, the have each claimed a zone on the cat trees, as each tree had 2 hammocks each, which all seem to love, and chose their own hammocks, so far so good, no peeing problems, all toileting done in litter trays. So fingers crossed this will work, also means hubby and I have restful night sleep.. In the daytime, our older cat goes out, as she has always done so, but our two bengals kittens are indoor cats, and are very happy with this, and have access to every room in flat, apart from the bedroom through the day, all are banned from there at the present time. Will keep you all posted.
